This advanced technique produces what's known as twilight sedation - the patient retains their normal reflexes, but awakes from the treatment with no recollection of the procedure.

Local anaesthetics are administered after a numbing cream has been applied to the gum. The anaesthetic is warmed slightly for the patient's comfort and simple techniques are used to make sure patients don't see the needle.
